FC Porto Poised to Clinch Portuguese Superliga Title
FC Porto can secure the Portuguese Superliga title this weekend if they defeat Alverca at home on Saturday. Currently leading the league with 82 points, Porto holds a seven-point advantage over second-placed Benfica.
If successful, Porto, known as “The Dragons,” will claim their 31st league title with three matches remaining in the season. The team last lifted the championship trophy in the 2021-2022 season.
Among the players poised for a title celebration are Nigerian stars Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi. Sanusi has previously won the league title with Porto, marking this as his second championship opportunity. For Moffi, who is on loan from Ligue 1 club OGC Nice, this would be his first league title if Porto secures the win.
