Nasarawa Amazons Head Coach Reflects on Loss to Robo Queens

Nasarawa Amazons head coach Christopher Danjuma defended his team’s performance following a 2-1 defeat against Robo Queens in their final match of the 2025-26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) regular season. The game took place on Wednesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.

Danjuma indicated that the match served as an opportunity to assess the strength of his squad ahead of the upcoming NWFL Super Six playoff tournament. The Amazons are set to face defending champions Bayelsa Queens, along with Edo Queens, Rivers Angels, Abia Angels, and Robo Queens in the playoffs.

“We used this game to test the strength of the squad and provide opportunities for players who haven’t had enough playing time,” Danjuma stated after the match. “Every game counts, and this is part of our preparation for the next competition.”
