Gov Yusuf to inaugurate committee for third-year anniversary programme in Kano

Kano State Governor Forms Committee for Third Anniversary Events
KANO, Nigeria — Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has established a 13-member committee tasked with organizing activities to commemorate the third anniversary of his administration in Kano State.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Friday by Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor’s spokesperson and Director General of Media and Publicity.
The committee’s primary role is to coordinate programs celebrating the anniversary of the “Gida Gida” administration.
Umar Farouk Ibrahim, the Secretary to the State Government, will chair the committee. Other members include various commissioners: Marwan Ahmad (Works), Abubakar Labaran Yusuf (Health), Dahir Muhammad Hashim (Environment and Climate Change), Danjuma Mahmoud (Agriculture and Natural Resources), and Ali Haruna Abubakar Makoda (Education).
Additional members are Abduljabbar Umar Garko (Land and Physical Planning), Abdulkadir Abdussalam (Rural and Community Development), Adda’u Lawan Kutama (Special Adviser, Cabinet Office), alongside several directors, including Tofa, Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo (Protocol), and Nana Asma’u Jibrin (Research and Documentation).
Muhammad Jalo, Permanent Secretary of Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs, will serve as the committee’s secretary.
According to the statement, the committee is mandated to plan a program that highlights the administration’s achievements. Governor Yusuf is expected to inaugurate the committee at 3 p.m. on Friday at the Cabinet Office Conference Hall in Kano.
