Social Media Influencer Responds to EFCC Invitation Amid Investigative Inquiry
Martins Vincent Otse, known on social media as VeryDarkMan, has confirmed that he has received an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). This development follows a formal complaint filed by attorney Blessing Agbomhere of Blessing Agbomhere & Partners.
The petition calls for a comprehensive investigation into the financial activities, sponsorship arrangements, and funding sources associated with VeryDarkMan and activist-lawyer Deji Adeyanju.
In a response shared on his social media platform, VeryDarkMan characterized the inquiry as a deliberate effort to suppress dissenting opinions in Nigeria. He suggested that members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are leveraging legal avenues to quell public criticism concerning the government’s performance.
“They want to stop us from speaking against this government that has failed to protect the lives of Nigerians,” VeryDarkMan stated in his Instagram post. “So, they used their people to write petitions.”
