College of Nursing Sciences Restores Student Union Activities Following Suspension

The College of Nursing Sciences in Jalingo has lifted its suspension on student union activities, reinstating operations for both the Students’ Union Government (SUG) and the Taraba State Students’ Union (TASSU).

In an official announcement released on Monday, the college management stated that the decision came after “due deliberation and review.” The announcement indicates that all previously suspended student union engagements are now permitted.

Effective July 6, 2026, the college has formally reinstated all activities that were previously prohibited, including meetings, gatherings, and programs organized by the SUG and TASSU. This directive marks the end of a suspension that had restricted student political and organizational activities on campus.

Management has emphasized the importance of conducting union activities in an orderly and peaceful manner. Students and union executives are reminded to adhere strictly to the institution’s rules and regulations, ensuring lawful conduct in all engagements.

The notice also thanked students for their cooperation during the suspension, highlighting that their compliance contributed to maintaining stability within the institution.

Furthermore, management expressed optimism that the resumption of union activities would promote a sense of normalcy and decorum on campus.

The announcement was signed by the Registrar, Bala Adam, and was distributed to key administrative officials, including the Provost, Deputy Provost, Deputy Registrar, Dean of Students’ Affairs, SUG President, and TASSU Coordinator.
