Wike Lauds Tinubu Administration for Unprecedented Project Commissions

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration on Friday for commissioning 31 projects over a span of 28 days, calling it an unprecedented achievement in Nigeria’s history.

Wike made the remarks during the commissioning of the reconstructed Arab/Bazango road in Kubwa, located in the Bwari Area Council. The event was part of celebrations marking Tinubu’s third year in office.

“It’s unprecedented in the history of this country for a president to commission projects for 28 consecutive days,” Wike stated. “When residents experience positive governance, their joy reflects on their faces. It is clear that the government cares for the people.”

Wike emphasized the significant improvements brought by the road construction, highlighting the economic activities that had suffered due to previous poor conditions. “You can imagine the difference this new road will make for commercial activities in the area,” he said.

He confirmed that under his leadership, the FCT administration has awarded contracts for a total of 317 kilometers of road construction, with 221 kilometers completed and 96 kilometers currently underway.

“Since the president took office, we have seen the number of commissioned projects increase from 50 to about 53,” Wike added. He detailed that the roads awarded encompass satellite towns within the FCT, stating, “This is a significant accomplishment for the administration over the past three years.”
