Taraba State Civil Service Urges Casual Workers to Apply for Recruitment
Dr. Hamidu Ahmed Kara, the head of the Taraba State Civil Service, has called on casual workers throughout the state to participate in the ongoing recruitment process hosted by the Taraba State Civil Service Commission (CSC). This initiative follows Governor Agbu Kefas’s approval to recruit 1,800 qualified applicants to enhance the state’s workforce.
Dr. Kara’s appeal came during a meeting with a delegation from the Ministry of Waste Management and Resource Innovation, led by Commissioner Bernard Shonze. The discussion occurred on Friday and aimed to strengthen collaboration between the ministry and the civil service.
He praised the ministry’s leadership for its proactive approach and encouraged eligible casual staff to seize the opportunity presented by the recruitment exercise. Dr. Kara emphasized the importance of adhering to proper protocols, stating that applicants must submit formal applications through the established recruitment process to be considered.
Additionally, Dr. Kara assured the delegation that he would thoroughly review the operational challenges outlined in the official memo presented by Commissioner Shonze and take appropriate measures to address the issues raised.
Commissioner Shonze highlighted the purpose of the visit, which was to discuss challenges the ministry is facing and seek guidance. He commended Dr. Kara for his accessibility and commitment to reforming the civil service in Taraba State.
The CSC is currently accepting applications in line with Governor Kefas’s directive to strengthen the public service infrastructure.
