Fire Engulfs Federal Mortgage Bank Headquarters in Abuja
The headquarters of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) in Abuja was severely damaged by a fire that erupted on the building’s fourth floor.
Eyewitness Anthony Ameh, an employee of Zenith Bank located within the same building, described the situation as dire. “The fire is so intense. About four trucks from the Federal Fire Service are here, but they are unable to quench it,” he said.
As of the latest updates, authorities have not determined the cause of the fire, and efforts to control the blaze continue without success. Fire service personnel are on the scene, but reports indicate that the flames remain a significant challenge.
No casualties have been reported at this time.
