NDLEA promotes 93 Rivers officers
Rivers State NDLEA Officers Promoted at Ceremony in Port Harcourt
Port Harcourt, Nigeria — Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has approved the promotion of 93 senior and junior officers within the Rivers State Command.
The decoration ceremony took place at the command headquarters on Friday. State Commander Kenneth Onyeso expressed confidence that the newly promoted officers would elevate their contributions to the agency’s mission of combating drug trafficking and abuse, particularly in the effort to maintain a drug-free Rivers State.
Onyeso emphasized that promotions serve as “a vital tool for motivating personnel and enhancing commitment to duty.” He noted that the officers had completed intensive training, as well as a rigorous evaluation process involving examinations and interviews, prior to their promotions.
“The newly promoted officers are prepared for the additional responsibilities that accompany their new ranks and are equipped to meet the agency’s expectations,” he remarked.
Following the ceremony, several promoted officers voiced their gratitude to the NDLEA Chairman, assuring him that they would uphold the integrity of their new positions. They pledged to fulfill their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism, reaffirming their commitment to the agency’s core objectives.
