UEFA Super Cup: Prize money for PSG, Aston Villa after 2-1 win revealed
PARIS — Paris Saint-Germain has been awarded £4.3 million for its victory against Aston Villa in the 2026 UEFA Super Cup, following a 2-1 win on Wednesday at the Red Bull Arena. With this win, PSG becomes the third club in the competition’s history to secure back-to-back titles, joining the ranks of Real Madrid and AC Milan.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue scored for the French Ligue 1 champions, while Brian Madjo’s goal for Aston Villa proved insufficient for a comeback.
In addition to the prize money, PSG will receive a winning bonus of £900,000. Despite the loss, Aston Villa will also benefit from the match, taking home £3.4 million.
UEFA plans to process and distribute the funds to both clubs on Friday, August 21.
