Music Executive DapperDam Addresses Allegations from Nigerian Artists

Music executive DapperDam has publicly responded to allegations made by Nigerian artists Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi, and T.I Blaze regarding their contractual and financial dealings with him.

In a series of posts on his official X account on Saturday, August 15, 2026, DapperDam denied the claims and asserted that existing records would support his position. He challenged the artists to allow their contracts and financial documents to undergo independent audits to verify the accuracy of their accusations.

“I will not demean myself by disrespecting the one thing I stand on, which is my love for music,” DapperDam stated. “I have nothing to hide. The records exist. The authorities have them. Let the process establish the truth.”

He expressed frustration with what he described as misleading narratives coming from the artists, stating, “Don’t come online and spill rubbish narratives and lies, only to mislead the public! You chose to leave! No one forced you, and we are still fine without you. Move on! Stop acting obsessed!”

DapperDam elaborated that their professional relationship began in 2021 when he invested in the artists’ first project before receiving any music in return.

“God made me, nigga! DapperDam, Son of God!” he added in a moment of emphasis, further referencing Shallipopi as “Mr. Elon.”

He claimed that an audit had already been conducted by a reputable firm and challenged the artists to seek another independent review. “We already did an audit from a reputable company! Surprise surprise, who owes who?” DapperDam said. “If you are sure about any of this, let’s go to KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, or any top law firm and auditing firm. Let them run a forensic analysis to interpret both the accounts and the contract for us.”

DapperDam also denied accusations regarding a missed appearance at a scheduled event, asserting he attended while Shallipopi did not. “For our last scheduled appearance, you didn’t show up. I was there, but you want to come online and say, ‘let’s meet in court,’ when you’re the one running from court,” he remarked.

He concluded with a reiteration that the relevant records are available and that appropriate processes are in progress. “The records are available. The appropriate processes are ongoing,” he stated.
