Popular Hollywood actress, Hayden Panettiere dies days before 37th birthday


Hayden Panettiere, the American actress renowned for her roles in the television series “Heroes” and “Nashville,” has died at the age of 36. Her death occurred on Sunday, August 16, 2026, just days before her 37th birthday.

Panettiere’s father, Skip Panettiere, confirmed her passing in a family statement. “It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her and to the millions who watched her on-screen,” he said.

Emergency responders were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive woman around 1:50 p.m. on Sunday in Greenville, South Carolina. Panettiere was subsequently identified and pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities stated that the investigation into her death is ongoing. Preliminary findings have not indicated any signs of foul play.

Panettiere gained fame for her portrayal of Claire Bennet in “Heroes” and later starred as Juliette Barnes in “Nashville,” a performance that garnered her two Golden Globe nominations. Her film credits include appearances in “Remember the Titans” and the “Scream” franchise.

Her passing comes just days before what would have been her 37th birthday on August 21.
