Dapper: Hilda Baci issues legal warning, direct Seyi Vibez to delete defamatory posts

Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci Threatens Legal Action Against Musician Seyi Vibez

Celebrity Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has announced her intent to pursue legal action against musician Seyi Vibez following his recent comments about her on social media.

Seyi Vibez, along with fellow former Dapper Music artists Shallipopi and T.I Blaze, publicly criticized the label’s owner, Damilola Akinwunmi, known as Dapper, over issues related to royalties and allegations of missing funds amounting to N1 billion. During the online exchange on X, Seyi Vibez directed harsh remarks towards Baci, suggesting that Dapper had allegedly spent money meant for their music catalog on her cosmetic surgery. He further claimed that Baci’s culinary offerings posed a danger to his health.

In response to these allegations, Baci issued a legal warning to Seyi Vibez, accusing him of libel and defamation. She demands a public apology and has requested the removal of the posts in question from all social media platforms. Failure to comply could result in legal proceedings.

Baci’s legal correspondence states, “In light of the foregoing, we hereby demand that upon receipt of this letter, you immediately remove and permanently delete the cited publications along with any related statements, posts, comments, images, videos, and reposts.”

Additionally, she called for a prominent public retraction and apology to be shared across all of Seyi Vibez’s social media accounts. Baci has given the musician a deadline of three days to provide a written assurance that he will cease and desist from publishing any further defamatory content regarding her.
