Seyi Vibez deletes posts about Hilda Baci after lawsuit threat

Nigerian street pop musician Seyi Vibez has removed his negative remarks regarding celebrity chef Hilda Baci. This decision followed a legal threat issued by Baci earlier in the day.

According to a warning letter reported by DAILY POST, Hilda Baci demanded that Seyi Vibez retract what she described as defamatory statements about her and offer a public apology, or risk facing legal action.

Shortly after the warning, a review by DAILY POST confirmed that Seyi Vibez had deleted all posts pertaining to Hilda Baci. However, he has not yet issued an apology.

The conflict arose when Seyi Vibez implicated Baci in a dispute with Dapper Music concerning an alleged missing fund of 1 billion naira in catalog royalties.

Seyi Vibez was signed to Dapper Music, a record label owned by Hilda’s boyfriend, Damilola Akinwunmi, in 2022. In September 2024, he announced his departure from the label, later updating his biography to indicate he is now an independent artist.
