Nollywood Filmmaker Kunle Afod Appeals for Support for Veteran Actor Opebe

Nollywood filmmaker Kunle Afod is reaching out for assistance on behalf of veteran actor Opebe, who is currently facing health challenges. Afod made the appeal during a visit to Opebe’s home in Ibadan on Friday.

In a video posted to his Instagram account, Afod urged fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry to provide support for Opebe. “Our fans, we have come again this time around for one of our elders in the industry, Baba Opebe,” he said. “He’s not feeling healthy. His health is diminishing. I don’t know how else to describe his situation right now as you can see him.”

Afod emphasized the need for assistance, asking, “Please, if you know where we can take him or any support you can offer, let’s help him. Nigerians, we want your support. Please come to his aid.”

In a brief statement regarding his condition, Opebe shared, “I have been away from the screen because of my health. I have done a series of tests, but nothing was found. They told me that I’m short of blood and I was given four pints of blood.” He added, “I have been on this since last year. We have visited different hospitals, but I was not diagnosed with any specific illness, and it’s now getting worse.”
