Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo dies at 65

Taiwo Hassan, a distinguished actor in Nigeria’s film industry known as Ogogo, has passed away. His daughter, Kira Taiwo, shared the announcement on Sunday evening during a live Instagram session.

The news comes just days after Kira revealed that her father was battling stage four cancer.

Hassan was a significant figure in Nollywood, celebrated for his roles in Yoruba-language films and his contributions to the industry’s development. In the lead-up to his death, efforts were made to secure medical treatment for him, with notable financial support reportedly offered by Adeola Olamilekan, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State.
