Wasiu Ayinde, the renowned Nigerian Fuji musician better known as Kwam1 or K1 De Ultimate, was visibly moved during a live performance on Sunday after learning of the death of actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo. Hassan passed away that evening following a prolonged battle with cancer, according to reports from DAILY POST.
The news of Ogogo’s death prompted a wave of condolences across social media, with many Nigerians, including celebrities and politicians, expressing their grief. A video capturing Kwam1 in tears during the Mushin 30th Anniversary Celebration has since gained widespread attention online.
During the performance, Kwam1 received comfort from a fellow artist on stage. Another Fuji musician, Malaika, also expressed his sorrow, stating, “His death really hit hard. I’m in pain.”
The emotional tribute paid by both musicians highlighted Ogogo’s significant legacy and impact on the entertainment industry. Other public figures, including actor Femi Adebayo and actress Ini Edo, also shared their grief over the loss.
