“Where una dey collect the face” — Toyin Lawani questions Lagos women
Celebrity fashion designer Toyin Lawani has raised concerns about a trend among women in Lagos, noting that many appear to share similar facial features. In a video posted online, Lawani highlighted the prevalence of characteristics such as long jaws and full lips among what she refers to as “Lagos baddies.”
Lawani remarked, “There is something going on in Lagos. Everybody is starting to look alike.” She expressed her astonishment at the noticeable changes in appearance among women she encounters, questioning, “Where una dey collect the face?”
Her observations underscore a growing concern regarding the uniformity of beauty standards within the city, as she pointed out that these characteristics have become increasingly common.
