Media Personality Nedu Wazobia Raises Alarm Over Nigeria’s Rising Cost of Living
Nigerian media personality Nedu Wazobia has voiced his concerns regarding the escalating cost of living in the country, emphasizing that survival has become increasingly challenging for many citizens.
In a recent video statement, Nedu outlined the surging expenses associated with essential items, including school fees, housing, food, transportation, fuel, and healthcare. He noted that even individuals with stable salaries struggle to meet their basic needs due to heightened financial pressures.
“The harsh economic realities have driven some to take actions they never thought they would consider in order to survive,” he said.
Nedu further remarked, “People are engaging in behavior they would not have imagined—hurting and betraying others, cutting corners—not out of inherent malice, but as a response to their daily battles in this country.”
He expressed a desire for an economic environment where hard work is rewarded, allowing parents to provide for their families without overwhelming stress. “Ordinary Nigerians should be able to wake up with less fear and more hope. We deserve that,” he added.
