Wike, Soludo, Adeleke make APC’s revised 2027 campaign council list

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, along with Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun, and Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor of Anambra, as state campaign coordinators for its expanded presidential campaign council ahead of the 2027 general election. This decision is notable given their current affiliations with other political parties.
Wike is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while Soludo represents the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Adeleke secured re-election as Osun’s governor under the Accord Party in 2026. In their new roles, Wike will oversee the APC campaign in Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory, Soludo will coordinate efforts in Anambra, and Adeleke will manage the campaign in Osun.
The updated campaign council will be inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.
The APC initially announced its campaign council on August 22, naming Abdulaziz Yari, the former Governor of Zamfara, as the director-general. Deputy director-general positions were assigned to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, and Yobe Governor Mai Mala Buni.
In the revised list, Akpabio, Abbas, and Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will serve as deputy vice-chairmen I, II, and III respectively, while Buni has been appointed deputy director-general I for the North.
The council will also include former governors and prominent party figures as advisers. Notable advisers include former APC national chairmen Adebisi Akande and Abdullahi Adamu, as well as former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, former Osun State Governor Iyiola Omisore, Senators Ibrahim Dankwambo and George Akume, former Ogun State Governor Segun Osoba, and Wale Edun. Obafemi George is designated as an advisor on media matters.
Additionally, the Directorate of Election Planning, Coordination, Monitoring, and Mobilization has been established ahead of the upcoming election, with Faleke serving as Deputy Director-General. Stella Okotete and Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat have been appointed Secretary I and Secretary II, respectively, along with Audu Maikori, who is also listed as a secretary.
Other members of the directorate include Soares Omotola, Bashir Dabo, Sheriff Mohammed Usman, Jibrin Bancir, Ayoola Peter Olajolo, Abubakar Sadiq Sada, and Princess Folasade Ogunbiyi.
