Kano vigilantes remanded over alleged murder
Two Defendants Arraigned in Fatal Dispute Over Dog
[City, State] — Mas’udu Abdullahi Bachirawa and Kabiru Adamu Bachirawa appeared in court today following allegations that they killed Umar during a dispute over a dog.
The case was presided over by Judge Garba Hamza Malafa, with the prosecution led by Awaisu Sani Lawan, who formally presented the charges to the defendants. After the charges were read, both men entered a plea of not guilty.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for December 16, 2026, to continue proceedings in the case.
