Nigerian Air Force Chief Emphasizes Cooperation and Readiness During Inspection

Ilorin, Nigeria — The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, urged personnel of the Nigerian Air Force to enhance inter-agency cooperation, maintain high morale, and uphold discipline. During an inspection at the 303 Composite Group on February 19, 2026, Aneke highlighted the importance of vigilance and professionalism for mission success.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at Air Force Headquarters, reported that the CAS inspected operational platforms, maintenance facilities, and mission support infrastructure during his visit.

Aneke emphasized that airpower provides the Nigerian Air Force with speed, reach, and precision, noting its effectiveness as a decisive force multiplier in counterterrorism efforts when applied intelligently.

He commended the personnel for their professionalism and combat readiness. “Operational readiness is not a one-time achievement; it is a sustained culture,” he stated.

He further mentioned that all operational platforms must be serviceable, intelligence actionable, and personnel mission-focused. The CAS assured the unit of ongoing support from Headquarters in logistics, training, and welfare to enhance operational efficiency and responsiveness.
