Troops intercept vehicle carrying suspected ISWAP logistics

Nigerian Troops Intercept Vehicle Linked to ISWAP Logistics
NIGERIA—Nigerian soldiers have intercepted a vehicle believed to be transporting supplies associated with the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), according to information released on social media by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama.
The operation took place at a checkpoint along the Maiduguri–Gubio main supply route on February 26, as part of ongoing security measures by the Forward Operating Base, Chabbal, under Operation HADIN KAI in Northeast Nigeria.
Makama reported that intelligence sources informed him that troops stopped a Toyota pickup truck during routine search and identification operations. During the search, soldiers confiscated a significant quantity of textile fabrics suspected to be used by terrorists, along with 20 Hilux tire tubes, motorcycle spare parts, 10 cutlasses, and three mobile phones, all concealed beneath wooden planks in the vehicle.
The recovered tires are also suspected to be linked to logistical efforts by ISWAP. Three male occupants of the vehicle were detained and later transferred to the 7 Mechanized Infantry Brigade for further investigation and intelligence gathering.
Makama noted that this seizure is part of broader efforts to disrupt ISWAP’s supply networks and mitigate terrorist activities in the Northeast region.
