UEFA Names Champions League Team of the Week

UEFA announced the Champions League Team of the Week on Thursday, highlighting standout performances from the first leg of the Round of 16, which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The lineup includes two players each from Real Madrid, Galatasaray, and Bayern Munich, all of whom delivered impressive displays for their respective clubs.

Notable selections feature Thibaut Courtois and Federico Valverde from Real Madrid, as well as Ismail Jakobs and Mario Lemina from Galatasaray, alongside Bayern Munich’s Josip Stanišić and Michael Olise.

In recent matches, Real Madrid achieved a 3-0 victory over Manchester City, Bayern Munich dominated Atalanta with a 6-1 scoreline, and Galatasaray secured a 1-0 win against Liverpool. The second leg of the Round of 16 fixtures is scheduled for next week.
