LaLiga: ‘I wish I had 25 players like him’ – Arbeloa hails Real Madrid star

Real Madrid Manager Praises Fran Garcia Following Victory Over Elche

Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa commended Fran Garcia after his team secured a decisive 4-1 victory against Elche in La Liga on Saturday, March 14, at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Garcia, who played a crucial role as the left-back, demonstrated significant contributions to the team’s performance. The win allowed Real Madrid to close the gap with league leaders Barcelona to just one point. Barcelona is set to play Sevilla on Sunday, March 15, in an attempt to extend their lead back to four points.

In his post-match remarks, Arbeloa expressed admiration for Garcia, highlighting his professionalism and commitment to the team. “Fran García? I must express my gratitude to him. He is an exceptional professional,” Arbeloa said. “It is not easy to maintain the level that Fran achieves daily, especially without regular playtime. He trains excellently and is always there for his teammates, maintaining a positive attitude. I wish I had 25 players like Fran.”

This season, Garcia has primarily served as a backup left-back, particularly after Alvaro Carreras transferred to Real Madrid over the summer. He has appeared in 17 matches across competitions, starting in only seven.

Garcia, who progressed through Real Madrid’s youth ranks, made just one appearance for the senior team before moving to Rayo Vallecano. After establishing himself at Rayo, he was re-signed by Real Madrid in 2023 and has since totaled 102 appearances for the team.

In the match against Elche, Garcia recorded seven defensive contributions, one shot on target, and one assist. He also completed six passes into the final third, created one goal-scoring opportunity, and executed two accurate long passes.
