AFCON 2027: Super Eagles to begin journey with Madagascar showdown

Nigeria’s Super Eagles Set to Begin 2027 Africa Cup of Nations Qualification
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will kick off their campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with a match against Madagascar, according to DAILY POST. The encounter is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Following the opening match, the Super Eagles will travel to face the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau three days later for their second qualifier.
The team will also face co-hosts Taifa Stars of Tanzania in both their third and fourth matchdays. Nigeria will first visit the Taifa Stars in Dar es Salaam for matchday three, before hosting them in Uyo on Saturday, November 11.
The Super Eagles are set to conclude their qualifying campaign in March 2027 with both home and away matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.
