‘Ayra Starr changed my life, I bless the day I met her’ – Don Jazzy

Nigerian music executive Don Jazzy has credited singer Ayra Starr with significantly changing his life.

His remarks came in response to a post on X, formerly Twitter, by user @_Fabianszn, who shared an old photo of Ayra Starr and praised Don Jazzy for his role in her career development. The user commented, “Don Jazzy really saved Ayra Starr; if not, she’d still be teaching kindergarten children.”

In his reply, Don Jazzy reflected on the positive impact Ayra Starr has had on him, noting their initial connection through an Instagram freestyle video. “I bless the day I was shown her Instagram freestyle,” he wrote. “She has most definitely changed my own life too. And she has been nothing but a dream Starrgirl.”

Don Jazzy signed Ayra Starr to his label, Mavin Records, in 2020, following her viral freestyle performances and song covers on Instagram.
