Chelsea forward João Pedro has publicly expressed his support for Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane as a contender for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

In an interview with TNT Sports Brazil, the Brazilian international praised Kane, emphasizing his exceptional talent on the field. Pedro stated he has been following Kane’s performance closely, particularly noting the striker’s impressive statistics in the Premier League prior to his move to Bayern Munich.

“He was already having extraordinary numbers in the Premier League, but now, seeing him at Bayern, we can really appreciate the quality that Harry Kane possesses,” Pedro said. His remarks came in anticipation of Chelsea’s FA Cup final against Manchester City, scheduled for Saturday at Wembley Stadium.

Pedro recounted his experience competing against Kane, revealing how the England international had dominated the game during their encounters when Pedro played for Watford and Kane was with Tottenham.

“I have a lot of admiration for him,” Pedro said. “I’m always rooting for him because he’s a fantastic player. Can he win the Ballon d’Or? In my opinion, yes. Because he’s an extraordinary player.”
