BREAKING: PFIPC scandal: Court orders arrest of Adeniyi Adeyemi

Federal Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Alleged Fraudster
ABUJA—The Federal High Court in Abuja has authorized the issuance of a bench warrant for the arrest of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the Director-General of a purported Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC). The court has deemed the council as “non-existent.”
Justice Mohammed Umar granted the arrest order following an application made orally by police attorney Mr. Wisdom Madaki. Adeyemi was scheduled to enter a plea on an eight-count charge, FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, which includes allegations of forgery, fraud, and impersonation.
Despite being listed as Case No. 12 on the court’s agenda, Adeyemi did not attend the arraignment. A lawyer named Mr. Genesis Francis was present to represent him but did not provide a valid explanation for Adeyemi’s absence.
The prosecution highlighted that this is not the first time Adeyemi has failed to appear in court, noting a pattern of non-compliance with court proceedings.
This is the second consecutive instance where Adeyemi missed a scheduled court appearance; he also did not show up for an arraignment last Tuesday related to allegations of certificate forgery.
