Champions League: Arsenal eliminate Atletico Madrid, qualify for final

Arsenal Advances to Champions League Final with Narrow Victory Over Atletico Madrid
LONDON — Arsenal secured a spot in the Champions League final following a 1-0 victory against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night. This win came after the teams played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the semifinal at Wanda Metropolitano last week.
At the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal controlled much of the first half, with Bukayo Saka scoring the only goal of the match. Saka capitalized on a rebound from Leandro Trossard’s shot to put Arsenal ahead before halftime. Despite Atletico’s attempts to equalize in the second half, the Gunners held firm to maintain their lead.
With this victory, Arsenal will face the winner of the matchup between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich in the final, scheduled for May 30 at Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary.
