Arsenal Must Maintain Winning Form to Secure Premier League Title, Says Carragher
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher warned that Arsenal must continue their winning streak in the Premier League to avoid losing the title.
Carragher offered his analysis following last weekend’s matches in which both Arsenal and Manchester City secured three points. The Gunners narrowly defeated West Ham 1-0, while City dominated Brentford with a 3-0 victory the previous day.
Currently, Arsenal holds a five-point lead at the top of the league and has two matches remaining, facing Burnley at home and Crystal Palace away. In contrast, Manchester City will play against Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa in their upcoming fixtures.
Carragher pointed out that City could apply significant pressure on Arsenal if they achieve a substantial win against Crystal Palace. He noted, “They scored three against Brentford, while Arsenal only managed one against West Ham. If City could win by three or four goals, that might intensify the pressure on Arsenal and diminish their margin for error.”
He added, “If the goal difference heavily favors Manchester City heading into the final game of the season, that would create real pressure on Arsenal. They must keep winning to secure the title.”
