Chelsea FC’s leadership convened on Wednesday to evaluate the future of head coach Liam Rosenior following the team’s recent struggles. The meeting was reported by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via social media.
The discussions took place one day after Chelsea suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, marking the team’s fifth consecutive loss in the Premier League. Chelsea has not found the net in the league since March 14, facing defeats of 1-0 to Newcastle United, 3-0 to Everton, 3-0 to Manchester City, and 1-0 to Manchester United prior to the loss against Brighton.
Romano indicated that although Rosenior had felt support from the club’s higher-ups in recent weeks, poor performance has prompted serious consideration of a change in direction. The outcome of the ongoing meetings is expected to influence decisions regarding the coaching staff.
