Arsenal great Patrick Vieira has named his choice for the Premier League Player of the Season ahead of the league’s conclusion next weekend, where Arsenal currently leads the table over Manchester City.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Vieira expressed his support for Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, distinguishing him from other notable contenders such as Declan Rice and Bruno Fernandes.
“David Raya has to be the player of the season,” Vieira stated. He praised Raya’s performance throughout the season, emphasizing the importance of his contributions to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
“I think he has been outstanding from the first game of the season and made some really important saves,” Vieira added. “He won so many points for Arsenal.”
