EPL: They’re not leaders – Frank Leboeuf slams two Chelsea players

Frank Leboeuf Criticizes Chelsea Midfielders After Loss to Brighton

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has criticized midfielders Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, claiming they lack leadership qualities. His comments come in the wake of Chelsea’s disappointing 3-0 defeat to Brighton in the Premier League on Tuesday.

In an interview with ESPN FC, Leboeuf expressed concerns about the team’s leadership, stating, “We do not have leaders in that team. We need a goalkeeper as a leader, we need a centre-half, we need a midfielder.”

Despite their inclusion in the lineup at the Amex Stadium, Fernandez and Caicedo were unable to help the club avoid a significant loss. Leboeuf emphasized, “Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are not leaders. I’m sorry, I have seen leaders.”

The criticism highlights ongoing concerns regarding Chelsea’s midfield effectiveness in high-pressure situations.
