Former Bauchi State Deputy Governor Audu Sule Katagum Dies at 69
Audu Sule Katagum, the former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, has passed away at the age of 69. The announcement was made in a statement by Lukman Abubakar, an aide to former governor M. A. Abubakar, on Saturday.
Katagum died in the early hours of the morning, as confirmed in the statement.
“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Arch. Audu Sule Katagum, Wazirin Katagum and former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State,” Abubakar stated. “The deceased passed away after a life of dedicated service to his community, Bauchi State, and the nation.”
Funeral arrangements are still being finalized, with further details expected to be communicated soon.
Lukman prayed for the deceased, asking, “May Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, friends, and associates the fortitude to bear this great loss. Ameen.”
Katagum is survived by his wife, children, and other relatives.
