‘He’s the Shakespeare of music’ – Elon Musk names his best musician of all-time
Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, has declared the late German composer Johann Sebastian Bach as the greatest musician of all time. Musk made the statement on his social media platform, X, describing Bach as “the Shakespeare of music” and labeling him “the best there ever was.”
Bach, who lived during the 18th century, was a prolific composer, keyboardist, violinist, and organist. He is renowned for his extensive body of work across various instruments and musical forms.
Some of Bach’s most significant compositions include the orchestral “Brandenburg Concertos,” the solo instrumental “Cello Suites” and “Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin,” as well as keyboard masterpieces such as the “Goldberg Variations” and “The Well-Tempered Clavier.” His contributions to organ music, such as the “Schübler Chorales” and the iconic “Toccata and Fugue in D minor,” are also highly celebrated. Additionally, Bach’s choral works, including the “St. Matthew Passion” and the “Mass in B minor,” remain significant in the canon of classical music.
