Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria — Operatives from the Kebbi State Hisbah Board apprehended 25 individuals during a raid on a hotel in the Argungu Local Government Area on July 3. The arrests were made in connection with alleged immoral activities.
Sirajo Kamba, the Director of Shariah for the board, confirmed the arrests in a statement released on Saturday. He indicated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat social vices and promote moral standards throughout the state.
Among those detained, 12 are male and 13 are female. Kamba emphasized that those arrested will undergo investigation, and any individual found guilty will face appropriate legal consequences.
“This raid was executed to uphold public decency, peace, and social order within the state,” Kamba stated. He also noted that investigations are currently underway regarding the incident.
