LaLiga: Barcelona confirm Lamine Yamal out of the season

Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal to Miss Remainder of Season Due to Injury
Barcelona confirmed Thursday that forward Lamine Yamal will be sidelined for the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury. The 18-year-old athlete sustained the injury while scoring a penalty during the team’s recent 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo.
The club released a statement indicating that medical tests revealed Yamal has a hamstring injury affecting his left leg’s biceps femoris muscle. He will undergo a conservative treatment plan and is expected to be fit for participation in the upcoming World Cup.
With six La Liga matches remaining in the 2025-26 season, Barcelona aims to successfully defend their domestic title. Yamal will miss all of these fixtures, including a crucial home match against Real Madrid on May 10.
