LaLiga: Mbappe reveals mistake he made at Real Madrid
Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé acknowledged his regret for not contributing to the team’s success in securing trophies during the current season.
Speaking at a post-match press conference after Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory over Real Oviedo in La Liga on Thursday, Mbappé addressed his performance and the club’s expectations.
“My mistake was not helping the team win titles. The rest is just opinions,” he stated.
During the interview, he clarified the circumstances surrounding his recent absence, stating, “Nobody knows why I left [for vacation]. I had the club’s permission. But I’m only focused on winning titles.”
He also defended his commitment to the team, saying, “They are never wrong. It’s the best club in the world. What hurt me the most was that people said I didn’t want to play.”
Despite these challenges, Mbappé currently leads both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League in scoring this season.
