LaLiga: Real Madrid to sell Mbappe, Vinicius as Mourinho arrives
Real Madrid is reportedly considering the sale of either Kylian Mbappé or Vinícius Júnior this summer, coinciding with José Mourinho’s anticipated appointment as manager.
L’Équipe has reported that the La Liga club believes the current partnership between Mbappé and Vinícius is underperforming.
This season marks only the second for Mbappé at the Bernabéu, following his transfer from Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent. He had a remarkable debut year, netting 44 goals across all competitions; however, the team concluded the season without any trophies.
Vinícius, who joined Madrid in 2013, once emerged as a key player for the squad. Nevertheless, following his non-selection for the Ballon d’Or in 2024, his performance and goal tally appear to have diminished.
Mourinho is expected to be involved in any discussions regarding changes to the squad.
