Abia Angels Prepare for NWFL Super Six Playoffs
Umuahia—Fatima Oloko, goalkeeper for Abia Angels, is optimistic about her team’s upcoming performance in the 2025-26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six playoff tournament.
Abia Angels, along with Robo Queens and Nasarawa Amazons, secured their spots in the tournament after qualifying from NWFL Conference B. Rivers Angels, Edo Queens, and defending champions Bayelsa Queens advanced from Conference A.
Following the conclusion of the regular season, Oloko emphasized the team’s readiness. “We are getting ready for the Super Six tournament,” she said. “We were not favorites to qualify. We are going to go there and give our best.”
Oloko asserted that the team intends to approach each match with intensity, adding, “We will play each game as if it is the last, so whatever comes out of it, we will take it.”
