Oyo attacks: ‘Silence after presidential pardon isn’t bravery’ – TikToker Sea King to Sunday Igboho

Nigerian TikToker Criticizes Yoruba Nation Agitator Amid Oyo State Violence
Nigerian TikTok influencer Olumide Ogunsanwo, known as Sea King, has publicly called out Sunday Adeyemo, commonly referred to as Sunday Igboho, over recent violent incidents in Oyo State.
In a video posted on his Instagram account on Tuesday, Sea King addressed the mass abduction of teachers and students at Community High School in Ahoro-Esinele, Oriire Local Government Area, which occurred on May 15, 2026. Reports indicate that on May 17, a teacher identified as Michael Oyedokun was beheaded by armed assailants, who circulated a video of the act along with a clip of the school’s principal pleading with the government to negotiate with the kidnappers for safe return of the victims.
Sea King expressed his disappointment with Igboho’s silence on these issues, questioning his commitment to combating insecurity in Yoruba land. He emphasized that “silence after a presidential pardon isn’t bravery,” highlighting Igboho’s failure to publicly address the ongoing violence.
In his remarks, Sea King tagged Igboho’s social media handle, questioning, “Where’s Sunday_igboho1? You said you wanted to eradicate all the Fulani that are killing people. Where are you now? Why are you silent? They have taken over Yoruba land.”
He pointed out that despite Igboho’s earlier declarations to mobilize 50,000 men to combat banditry, violence in the region persists. Sea King’s criticism comes three months after Igboho was removed from the Federal Government’s wanted list by President Bola Tinubu.
Igboho recently returned to Nigeria after nearly five years in exile following a raid by the Department of State Services on his Ibadan residence in July 2021, which occurred during his campaign for a Yoruba Nation under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
