Yoruba Nation Activist Commends Tinubu Administration for Kidnapped Students’ Release

Yoruba nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, commonly known as Igboho, has praised the efforts of President Bola Tinubu regarding the recent rescue of kidnapped school children and their teachers in Oyo State. He emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing criminal activities across Nigeria.

The students and staff of Community Grammar School, Ahoro-Esinele, LA Primary School, and Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota, were held hostage for 56 days before being rescued by security forces on Friday.

In a statement released by his media office, Igboho commended the Security Chiefs and the Department of State Services (DSS) for their roles in the operation leading to the safe release of the victims.

“I want to highlight the contributions of Defense Minister General Christopher Musa (rtd), Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu, the military, the National Security Adviser, and the leaders of all security agencies whose collaboration was crucial for this successful outcome,” Igboho said.

He acknowledged that since the abduction occurred, President Tinubu has been actively working for the students’ return. “The government is committed to combating criminal groups in Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, and across the country,” he added.

Additionally, Igboho reassured that the federal government would continue to collaborate with local security personnel to enhance safety in various communities. He stated, “We are fully committed to utilizing all legal means to ensure that farmers and residents in rural areas of the Southwest experience a secure environment.”
