Police raid Delta drug spot, arrest five suspects


Delta State Police conducted a raid on a suspected drug site on September 8, 2026, resulting in the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of various illicit substances.

According to a statement from police spokesman SP Bright Edafe, the operation was executed by the Divisional Surveillance Team following credible intelligence regarding drug-related activities in an unfinished building located in the King Zanga area of the Ugbuegwai community in Warri.

The arrested suspects include Rabi’u Salihu, 26; Salisu Suleiman, 23; Rabilu Ali, 24; Alhassan Mohd Mansur, 28; and Aliyu Abubakar, 25.

Recovered from the site were significant quantities of substances believed to be Indian hemp, Codeine, Colorado, Rizla, SK, and Canadian Loud.

The suspects are currently in custody, and authorities have announced that investigations are ongoing.
