President Federation Cup: Rangers chief tasks players to go for double

Rangers General Manager Amobi Ezeaku has urged his players to shift their focus from their recent league victory to the upcoming President Federation Cup.
The Flying Antelopes will face Rivers United in the Round of 32 of the tournament. The match is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Ezeaku cautioned his team to prepare for a challenging encounter against the Port Harcourt-based club. “Congratulations, boys, on winning the NPFL title. But you should put that behind you right now and focus on the next game, which is the Federation Cup Round of 32 match against Rivers United,” Ezeaku said, according to Completesports.
He emphasized that Rivers United is likely to come out strong, as they will be motivated to avenge their league loss to the Rangers. “You know it’s going to be a tough game because they will throw everything into the match. We denied them the league title, so they will come fully prepared to win this one,” Ezeaku added.
Ezeaku highlighted the importance of maintaining focus as the team aims for a domestic double this season. “You must not allow your celebrations to distract you. Is it a bad thing for us to win the double? All attention and focus should be geared towards the game,” he said.
