Powerline Church Leader Declares Sex Toys Acceptable for Married Couples
Apostle Joshua Aghasedo of Powerline Church has announced that the use of sex toys by married couples is not sinful, stating that such items can enhance intimacy significantly.
During a recent sermon, Aghasedo equated sex toys to everyday tools like phones and cars, which assist users in various functions. He said their role in enhancing marital intimacy should be viewed similarly.
“Is using a sex toy a sin? Is driving a car a sin?” Aghasedo posed to his congregation. “In this modern age, it’s equipment that can help you complete 90% of the work, with the remaining 10% left to the couple.”
However, Aghasedo emphasized that sex toys should only be utilized within the confines of marriage. He mentioned that he has previously recommended such items to couples facing challenges in their sexual relationship, aiming to prevent infidelity.
“It’s an aid designed for married couples,” Aghasedo clarified. “We are speaking within the framework of marriage, not outside of it.”
He further explained that the use of sex toys outside this context could be classified differently in his religious perspective. “If you engage in it on your own, it’s called masturbation, which in another context is fornication,” he stated, underlining the importance of the marital boundary.
