Suspect confesses to beheading woman after first meeting in Adamawa hotel
A 27-year-old man, identified as Ali Haruna, has confessed to murdering a woman, recounting graphic details about the crime. Haruna, who lists his permanent address as Kaleri in Maiduguri, Borno State, but currently resides in Digno, a community in the Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State, was arrested on August 14.
Authorities allege that Haruna beheaded his victim, identified only as Aisha, at the No Vex hotel in Girei Local Government Area. Following his arrest, he provided a statement to investigators from the Adamawa State Police Command, admitting to the murder.
During a press briefing at the police headquarters in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, Haruna described engaging in sexual activities and smoking marijuana with Aisha, despite this being their first meeting.
Suleiman Nguroje, the Public Relations Officer for the Adamawa State Police, confirmed that Haruna will remain in custody while the investigation is ongoing. He stated that the suspect will be charged in court once the investigation is concluded.
