Security Guard Murdered in Kano Hospital Incident
A security guard was killed on the night of July 3, 2026, in Danlasan Ward, located in the Warawa Local Government Area of Kano State. Malam Ado Shuaibu Maki was allegedly attacked by suspected thieves who reportedly slit his throat and stole solar equipment from the hospital where he worked.
The Warawa Local Government’s Director of Information and Public Enlightenment, Malam Hamza Kinchau, confirmed the details of the incident in a statement released on July 4. According to Kinchau, “The suspects murdered Malam Ado Shuaibu Maki by slitting his throat and thereafter carted away the solar equipment belonging to the hospital.”
In response to the violent act, Hon. Lamido Sunusi Ahmad, Chairman of Warawa Local Government, expressed his condolences to Maki’s family and the residents of Danlasan Ward. He urged security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible for the crime are apprehended and brought to justice.
