Tansian University denies reports of priest engaging in sexual act with female student

Tansian University Responds to Allegations of Sexual Misconduct Involving Priest
Umunya, Anambra State — Tansian University has issued a statement in response to a viral video alleging that a priest affiliated with the institution was caught engaging in a sexual act with a female student.
The video, which has circulated widely on social media, depicts a man identified as a campus priest from Oba in the Idemili South Local Government Area being assaulted and stripped by several female students.
According to unverified reports, the incident allegedly took place in a hostel on university premises. However, the university’s management has firmly rejected these claims, labeling them as false.
In a statement released by Public Relations Officer Barr. Boniface Amalu, university officials clarified that no such incident occurred, either on or off campus. Amalu emphasized that the university has reported the matter to law enforcement for a thorough investigation.
“The management of Tansian University categorically denies and condemns the allegations of sexual harassment against the priest associated with our esteemed institution,” Amalu stated. “We assert, without any hesitation, that no such incident took place between the said priest and any female student.”
The university characterized the accusations as an attempt by detractors to tarnish its established reputation. Management reassured students, parents, guardians, educational stakeholders, and the public to dismiss the allegations, reiterating the institution’s commitment to ethical standards as a faith-based university.
