Russian military strikes overnight resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to more than 20 across Ukraine. In a concurrent development, Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory and occupied areas led to one death and 10 injuries, according to local officials.

The attacks, involving drones and aerial bombs, targeted multiple regions within Ukraine. In the Sumy region, a 66-year-old man died as a result of a drone strike that hit a residential building. Ukrainian regional military Governor Oleh Hryhorov indicated that this assault was part of a broader offensive characterized as a “massive attack,” which also injured 10 people in the same area.

In the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, nine individuals, including two children, sustained injuries from ongoing attacks. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the assaults caused significant damage to the city’s civilian infrastructure. A residential high-rise was partially destroyed, and emergency responders successfully rescued two individuals trapped under the rubble.

Oleksandr Ganja, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, reported via Telegram that Russian forces conducted over 30 strikes using drones and aerial bombs in two districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

On the other side of the conflict, Ukraine has intensified its offensive actions in recent months against Russia and its occupied territories. A Ukrainian strike in Horlivka, a town in the Russian-controlled Donetsk region, resulted in the death of one woman, as noted by Ivan Prikhodko, the mayor appointed by Moscow.

In the Volgograd region of southwest Russia, local authorities indicated that 10 people were injured due to a Ukrainian strike that also resulted in damage to industrial facilities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed on social media that missiles successfully struck the Titan-Barrikady facility, a significant industrial complex responsible for producing artillery systems and components for missile launch systems.

Zelenskyy emphasized the strategic goal of undermining Russian logistics on the battlefield, noting recent dramatic attacks on Crimea and satellite communications centers near Moscow. In response to intensified Ukrainian operations, Russian authorities have relocated air defense systems from various regions to Moscow and the Kerch Bridge, which connects Crimea to the Russian mainland.

As the conflict continues, both sides remain engaged in a protracted exchange of strikes, leading to ongoing casualties and infrastructure damage.
